    3500s risky proposition?

Hi, As far as I know a lot of people have used the LT77 5 speed box out of later British Leyland vehicles. This is mainly as it is a much stronger box and gives better motorway cruising abilities. I have a 1968 auto that has been converted using this box. I find it a bit agricultural until it's...

    Heater box

I think it is over priced based on the photos. It looks quite rusty around the air intake. Might hide nightmares within just like my own box.

    Heater box

Good morning all P6 fans. A shot in the dark here. Would anyone have a usable heater box for sale? Mine is toast. It is rotten around the fresh air intake which allows water to gather in the bottom of the box. This has led to the bottom rotting through. Grrrr!! I'm on the isle of wight.

    Potential over heating. 3500

Thank you all for tips & advice. It turns out that it was a faulty temp sensor. Fitted a new one this morning and for a quick trip out the temp gauge needle stayed bang in the middle of the gauge. One happy boy. Next job try to fix the non working heater fan and fitting aldon electronic...

    Potential over heating. 3500

Good afternoon all. My P6 3500 looks to be overheating according to the temp gauge. It hovers around the end of the green section bordering the red. Previously it hovered near the white section hardly touching the green section. So far I have put a new 82 degree thermostat in, taken the...

    P6 3500 Battery recommendations

Good Morning and happy New year Rover fans. I might be in need of a new battery for my 3500. Currently it has a Yuasa HSB 075. It doesn't seem to be tall enough as a previous owner has put blocks of wood in the bottom of the battery box. This may be to vent the battery via the large drain hole...

Hi, I used 3500s manifolds on my series 1. I purchased new ones from JR Wadhams. I purchased a stainless steel exhaust from PD Gough. It fitted excellently. Good luck.

    1968 3500 Auto to LT77

Hi all, the problem is that the clutch fluid is cooking and starts to fade quickly. When I depress the clutch and engage gear the car starts to move even before I start to take my foot off the clutch. Once on the move it seems ok. The system has been bled several times but the fluid comes out...

    1968 3500 Auto to LT77

Hi, I have bought a 3500 auto that has been converted to 5 speed. However, the install is a bit of a "dogs dinner" and the heat shield for the brake master cylinder is resting on the exhaust manifold to fit an unknown clutch master cylinder next to it.If I am unable to source 3500S parts or left...
