    I found a suitable wheel! it is a 14 inch, 5 stud 120 mm pattern rim 5,5 J wide and it is from a Hyundai H200 van! I am happy I found a suitable rim for this size! This is for the modified hubs made to fit the magnum 500 wheels in the united states in the erarly years.

    Hi Thijs, Yes i really would like to mount the other wheels! They are not magstars though but magnum500. Bach in the day a common wheel for muscle cars l But was not avaiable in the rimsize for Rover P6 so they altered the Hubs to match the wheels! They are very similar to the Rostyles. I have 4...

    Jim thanks for you reply The engine indeed has electronic ignition. It has the Lucas opus 35de8 distributor. The ballastresistor is removed ( this was a wire from the original P6 setup).Also the coil has been replaced with a Blue Bosch. all runs pretty well now albeit that the idle speed...

    It is not just a matter of curting costs but only to show that with simple means /solutionsyou can get great results. It just a matter of removing the stitch work remove the tongue and fold in the new tongue and stitch it together again. In my case there was no specialist available.......

    What I once did is going to a shoe repair guy to exchange the tongues! He stitched it again with the control lables and everything looked pretty original! didn't cost more than 5 euro!

    Peter there is no spring inside! Het is een as die over de spiebaan langer of korter kan worden. Dit is nodig om oneffenheden in de weg op te vangen.

    No that is not possible the studpattern is different. P6 is 5 inch this is changed on the modified hubs to 4,5 inch. The hubs were used on the very early p6 in America. Changes were made by the dealers in the states I thought.

    thanks for the replies. The removed hub on the photo is indeed the hub for the magnum wheels. It has slightly shorter and thicker studs. Well I do not want to pull the flange from the hub. My goal is to pull the Hub as a unit of the shaft so I can mount the modified hub . But as I understand...

    My goal is to remove the hub from the driveshaft. That is enough no need to take the hub apart. when I look in the maual it states:"withdraw the shaft from the hub assembly",,,, But not how it is done..I see it in 64.15.07.

    i have been able to purchase 4 magnum 500 wheels with suitable hubs! The puzzled me but the seem to be Rover hubs altered by american dealers to fit the magnum500 wheel. The studs are thicker, smaller and in a 4,5"pattern.

    finally the box installed and the rover is running again. Some fiddling with the kickdowncable was necessairy but she runs good now! I also changed the tatty interior for a second hand series 1 interior! The update is late because we moved to our new house with a lot of work!! I have a question...

    I have the same roof Dion and the same swith. Works like a charm and no leaks whatsoever. Only thing with mine is that they forgot to put the interiorlight in wth the new headlining..... But a nice car with nice options indeed. Can't wait to see the rogress of this project!!

    Yesterday I mounted the engine and box: Still to do: add oil to the autobox Connect all the electrics fit exhaust engine cooler and add coolant Fit bonnet etc etc

    OK I am not the expert here. When I look at pictures on the internet with rebuild kits for the bw65 I see two bands one flexible and one rigid... and if i am not mistaken it looks they all have a rigid band and a flexible band...
