    Whipped into the garage earlier on my lunch brake, undid the 5 screws on top of the air valve & as the last one came undone and the top became lose a hiss of air was heard and hey presto the brakes released. So could it be the valve was stuck due to lack of use perhaps, will investigate more...

    As l haven't managed to get it to all work correctly yet then l haven't been able to pump the pedal and operate the handbrake together to get the rear pads adjusted up onto the discs hence just the fronts sticking on

    Rear Calipers now fully refurbished, wasn't as horrible as I thought, hadn't done this since about 2005 on an older P6 & then it wasn't as in depth as this rebuild.! They came apart with out any fuss, even the two hydraulic pistons popped out with ease! All part cleaned, new rubber seals...

    Its indeed an 'orrible' job Stue but also satisfying! I used a blow torch to soften it up & then removed with a scraper.

    urm... I was but budget ran out and time scale, I will fit them though as matter of safety, budget is being refuelled with my big 50 birthday on Thursday and kind donations as gifts, so water pump, 2 x upper ball joints, set of spark plugs n hopefully bumps stops !

    Red oxide painted and now the stone chip sprayed on, next will be a coat of satin black & then on too cleaning all the suspension/rear axle parts prior to them receiving a fresh coat of black metal paint.
