Some good thoughts there, gentlemen. With 20/20 hindsight the Series 2 V8 should have had EFI ( hopefully better than the Lucas unit fitted in the Triumph 2.5PI ) and anti skid technology that Rover already had. A couple of trim levels would have helped.

Hi Bernd, as for the external bodywork both the Series 1 & 2 3500's had a much larger air intake under the front bumper as the 3500 had a larger radiator. The bonnet and grill of the S1's 3500 differed slightly from the S1 2000TC's, again to accomodate the larger engine. Lewis
