semaphore/indicator.

How do i go about removing the r/h semaphore. i think it needs some attention, i have rewired the unit, when activating it seems to have a short and a little smoke. any help on removing this would be appreciated.best regards Derrick.

Hi, Being a child in the '60s I can remember them as well. I can also remember my uncles moaning about them new fangled flashing indicators and not seeing them because they had got used to looking for the semaphores up on the side of the car.

Crickey -who remembers the truck drivers side extending arm for indicating stop or turn.? Take your head off if you were a cyclist overtaking

My father was of the same opinion as some flashers were not visible from the side. I guess he was correct as now all new vehicles require side repeaters.
I had to perform hand signals for my driving test in 1965 . and answer question on the meaning of signals from whips on horse draw vehicles and I have only come across a driver using them once in 55 years of driving

I could not get this obstinate little device out from the inside, so i persevered and after many twist and turns i removed it from the outside only to find the coil had shorted out. any advice on the replacement or repair thanks again in anticipation. regards Derrick.
