Hi All, another auto box question.....
The Separating Plate between the upper and lower Valve Bodies on my transmission has a peculiar worn area, seen in the photo. This lies above a passage where the throttle valve stop plate is fitted. I'm assuming that over the last 48 years the stop plate has been gradually eroding the separating plate. Has anyone seen anything similar? I'm worried that the wear will allow fluid to pass where it shouldn't, or at least change the pressure gradient in that valve passage, maybe affecting gear shift?
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful for their thoughts!
