Auto box removal

Just wondered what the consensus of opinion was on removing the auto gearbox from a P6, rather than the engine and box as a lump. We have access to a lift and transmission jack, so getting it out is not an issue. Is the juice worth the squeeze, or is it easier to remove the lump? Cheers, Rob

Do you have a BW35 or BW65?.

The 35 can be split from the bell house which makes it easier to remove ( and less awkward )
65 needs to come out as one.
Both can be removed from under the car just watch the fan on the radiator when you remove the box.

Not sure which box ours is being a '71/72 car. Will have a look-see. Like your foot note...where the hell etc. sounds like our place!

Cheers for that. Are the pan gaskets available for these boxes? Got a couple of drips, so might as well sort it while it's out. Be ideal on the bench as we can keep everything perfectly clean while fitting.
