LED sidelights

Phil,
some older style LEDs do flicker. Check out the link I have just posted. They have a good technical team you can talk to as well to discuss your needs

They do sound very good, it depends on the MOT tester I suppose whether he still classes them as a halogen conversion.
I would give them the benefit of doubt if it provides the correct pattern.

Clive,

have a read of the testimonial. The classic car ones are more impressive as they are replacing very old technology.
if you look through their catalogue they cover just about everything, and also include some of the science behind their developmemts

Yes I've just phoned them for more information and MOT compliance.
They said 4out of 5 MOT testers when asked would pass them if correct pattern was achieved, that would include me.
I am going to purchase some soft white H1s
to put in my original lucas bright eyes 70s headlamps and see what happens.

Clive,
another benefit of using LEDs is around the safety aspect and being visible as per modern cars, so no one gets too close and ruins our “ pride and joy “

give us an update when fitted please

I really liked the idea of led headlights
Bright light less power ect
To much misconception of the law and it’s not easy to understand, because so many sellers of these led bulbs hide on the the website in small print just for off road use, or the led is road legal so people think they can just fit them but it’s far more complex and complicated in the U.K. don’t get me wrong you can fit anything you like to your car I am not saying you can not and some will and do. But the problem arises with led bulbs fittings not only to the housing that has to be marked if not marked correctly then you are going down the classic car route but the lighting regs state that a vehicle of a certain year that did not have leds made for that vehicle are not legal
The photo with the blinding sidelight how is someone meant to see your indicator flashing ?
When you find a classic car replacement legal leds bulb and projectors please let me know I will fit them as far as I know there is no such thing and fitting these leds home made things could invalidate insurance. As mentioned on a mot website an mot inspector can not inspect every bulb in your car so you might get away with it but have a look at the lighting regs just because your car passed mot it won’t give it a clean bill of health.
