Decent air compressor manifolds

I recent bought a new compressor to replace my old one which blew its motor.

Been a bit of a saga due to the diecast manifolds that compressors seem to come with.

The first was damaged out of the box and I got a replacement sent out, whilst changing the fittings over I gave a gauge a tiny turn to nip it up whilst holding the manifold in my hand.

This was enough to crack the manifold which now leaks too.

Having looked there only seems to be this diecast type available. I can get another and try and be super gentle but I cant say I am impressed.

Spare Manifold For SC24H, SC50H & SC100V Compressors

Can anyone suggest a supplier of something a bit more heavy duty?

or make one up from a bunch of brass fittings. serious hardware and tool shops normally carry a wall of various bends and stuff for just such situations.

Not worth making one up for these cheap compressors, I wouldnt buy another TBH.

I have have a solution to try out.

The manifold that comes with the compressor is this type.

I have bought an NPT adaptor to fit an alternative type.

Still cheap but where the threads are it is thicker so hasn't cracked on assembly.
