Trailing arm front bush diameters

So I've been reminded today that there are 2 sizes of front bush, and 2 sizes of trailing arm front eyes.
When/why did the arm change?
I always presumed series 2 V8 cars would have the larger items.
My car is a '72 V8 and has the smaller version, and it is significantly smaller.
Will the larger version still fit in my '72 V8 crossmember, or were they altered to accommodate?

I've been removing bushes so I can include my suspension components when I take my shell for blasting on Monday. I have the Superpro V8 kit and it has the larger bush. I've found they do sell the smaller one but they seem list it for the 2000 only..
I'm well aware of the pros and cons of polyurethane, remember this is far from a standard car and I'm strengthening and uprating where necessary, not to mention blasting and fully inspecting components before painting in epoxy. So let's not turn this into another poly bush debate!

No takers? I think I posted this at a bad time of day and it got lost in the ether perhaps

Ok so it seems as simple as the V8 and TCs got the smaller version to fit the crossmember. Rover started with the larger version and modified to suit.
What I was driving at was whether the larger version would actually fit in a V8 crossmember, or if anyone had ever adjusted one to suit.
The potential gains are likely not worth the hassle but since I currently have the incorrect larger bushes for my arms, it’s got me to thinking..

OK I'll reply just to stop the tumbleweed ..... :)
I remember pondering this when replacing front bushes, and as a newbie did not know what a large or small bush meant in terms of what I had. Any way it obviously worked out as I changed them. If you are going for poly then I would not bother with the agro of welding in larger sleeves to the trailing arm just because you have larger bushes, buy some smaller ones if you can, it wont matter a whole bunch.
BTW I went rubber  and again it hasn't stopped me playing yet.

Haha thanks Mark :p
Yes I decided whilst talking amongst myself :D that I'm going to send them back as they were sold as part of a V8 kit.
The smaller ones are cheaper so I should even get some money back.
Weirdly they also included a watts link set for the SD1 in this P6 V8 kit..instead of the panhard rod bushes
So they are also going back. Due to the the awful state of the panhard tubing I've decided to just make a new one with the same 5/8 stainless/poly rod ends and rose joints as the new diff ladder bar setup to match.
