An in depth report on the Shannons Auction website. Lots of juicy info in there . I saw this racing in OZ 1973 . Was awesome but didn't last the distance. Go have a gander

Thanks very much for the heads-up, GRTV8! Great piece.
Cobraboy and ChrisW, you need to sign up to Shannons to be able to read the whole article. Costs nothing. The full screed can be found under the News and Reviews heading. Some great photos, and some fascinating info regarding the extensive work undertaken once the car had arrived in Australia. I would dearly love to see some photos showing the set-up described in the article, the revised layout having the engine moved further back inside the base unit, a new raised floor, and custom exhaust set-up. In the fullness of time I'm confident such photos will come to light. More and more info and pics of these works P6 racers is starting to appear, and some fantastic 'replicas' have been constructed recently too.
The spoiler in the last photo above, the black and white shot, is terrific. Not as wide and 'blade'-like as earlier incarnations thereof, really accentuates the widened front wings. I want my road car to look that aggresive!

The car now lives in sydney and is under restoration. Rudiger has a link to a story about the current owner who is also a member of this site.

Now Imshowing my age. I was in Melbourne 73 and watched this "thing" blasting around the track - Mind blowing . I was on my way back to NZ with my very own P6b I had I had imported into Oz under the duty free scheme

I have just read the last British bulldog article as well, the first white P6 on there reminded me of this, which lives near me ..................

Some great pics on that web site and good stories.Written by someone with a bias the other way.
The Mal Clarke racer here in NZ is a few steps further along.IMG_0842.jpeg

I did read the article in the end. It's a hack job, written by someone who obviously needs to produce an article but without having any actual knowledge of the subject.

Chris
I know that you have knowledge of these cars, would you care to correct any inaccuracies so that interested parties may be able to learn what actually happened back then.
