    CUTTING OUT WHEN HOT

Hi John, my car is running on a 12v coil, it was when I bought it, from looking at the wiring diagram I thought it should have a ballast resistor but someone must have changed it in the past

    CUTTING OUT WHEN HOT

I always run on Shell V power with valvemaster plus octane booster and lead replacement additive and never had a problem til this last week. Will wait til the weather cools a bit then try again.

    CUTTING OUT WHEN HOT

Thanks for the reply, the car splutters for a few seconds then stops. When I cleaned the fuel tank all the vents were clear with good tubing.

    CUTTING OUT WHEN HOT

Thanks for the reply. The coil was new and has only done about 500 miles, I am still running points and condenser so that may be worth looking at. Do you know of a good electronic system that works with the RVC tacho?

If I leave the car for 5-10 minutes it starts and runs perfectly again. The temperature gauge is in...

    RIDE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE

Well, having removed the new springs I find that 1 is 10mm shorter than the other, didn't notice when they arrived, assumed they would be a matching pair with them being new, am still waiting for a reply from J.R.Wadhams!!

    RIDE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE

Thanks for the replies, the springs were bought new from J.R.Wadhams so I would hope that they were both equal, as far as I could see there were no shims unless they stayed in position when I removed the old springs. I may have to try swapping them, bit of a pain but as was stated they are not...

    RIDE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE

My 1971 2000TC had been parked in a garage for around 30 years and I purchased it from the person who found it and got it running. The car was fitted with a towbar and from documents with the car it was used for pulling a caravan. The ride height at the rear was low but I think fairly even which...
