    throttle rod universal coupling

I had replaced the nylon coupling with a solid bracket (for connecting steel cables) and showed some photos here. Sure, I found the year´s most ingenious P6 trouble shooting solution.... Soon I learned, that this solution is not good, the guys here are right, you simply move the stress from your...

Custom Anti Roll Bar- Cheap opportunity!

if you mean the chamfer between round and hex end, it´s required to reduce stress at this point (or, simpler, not to have stress at a "point"). You will need it for thicker hex ARBs or for round-to-hex ARBs.

    Strong price for a P6B

Why not 30k or more for a car, which has such a low mileage and if it´s in a very good condition ? Just saw a local private app for a Alfa Bertone 1300, completely rotten, for 18 tEUR. Ok, that´s really bullshit, but I know, this guy will sell it for around 12-15 tEUR. There are many other cars...

    First start, very hot....

Thanks Colin. No points for a slipped liner  ? Big ends, little ends. Mama Mia. Ok, little ends sounds also realistic, as I do not know, what symptoms go with a slipped liner or a tilting piston. Frequency of knocking from a little end or a liner should be the same. Anyway, as I found...

    Greetings folks

It can be bigger also... Am using Tiny Pic for some years, in my opinion the simplest and fastest freeware to downsize your foto files. Here is the original link, click on the British flag for your language. For private use it is free efpage - TinyPic Open Tinypic, open your explorer. Tinypic...

    First start, very hot....

Thanks Paul, yep, it´s more like a knocking (will try to make a video with audio), but disappears when revving. As the crank bearings (and big end) are new now and crank itself was ok, there are not so many other suspects. Across the forums, you may get the feeling, that slipped liners at a 3.5...

    First start, very hot....

Manifolds all tight. The last days I had no time to look after more at the car, honestly was a little bit frustrated, so first bought a Grace One, Germany´s most powerful ebike. Battery down, charger missing, ok, winter project. Back to my Rover, how can I identify a slipped liner ?

    First start, very hot....

thanks Mike. I would prefer this, but lifters are fine and they cause more a tick-tick-tick. The noise my engine causes, sounds more drastic.

    First start, very hot....

Update..... Good thing : I have new crank bearings now. Bad thing : as soon as the engine is hot, at idle the "tacker-tacker-tacker" starts again  When I rev it, the knocking noise (it´s really sounding like a worn out crank bearing, but I have the feeling it´s more at the upper side)...

losing the will to live now! help

If you still have the original plastic lines fitted, I would not thinking about disconnecting the two lines goeing INTO the reserve tap. You need a hotair gun to disconnect but then the old lines are scrap. I have disconnected the (single) line goeing off the reserve tap and replaced what was...
