Having now had the heads removed it would seem that a valve seat is no longer seated and that work would be needed to renovate the head. So SD1 heads with normal sized valves will be used as a replacement with tin gaskets.

It seems that the Duchess has complete compression loss in one cylinder which the mechanic considers that is most likely due to an ineffective valve. We will know more when the heads are off. If this is the case it would seem appropriate to change from P6 heads to SD1 heads if I have to have...

These are the two maps. The first is for lpg and the second for petrol. I think the lpg does not give enough advance, so I will be looking to tweek it somewhat in the future when I can work out the effects.

The megajolt installation is now complete and the two ignition maps have been programmed in. On petrol the engine is a dream so smooth and powerful. On lpg the situation is less good. I think I need to tune the vapourizer and the BLOS unit carefully but the engine is still silky and powerful. I...

Hi Anybody tried 195 /65 r14 tyres on their v8? The tyre stats are almost identical to 185/70r14 standard tyres and a bit smaller than 195/75 r14. I am going to fit sd1 series 1 alloys and I am looking at tyre size options. I think 205 's are not an option. Thanks.
