    Halogen light fitting

I was never very happy with the low intensity of the Lucas sealed beam outers in dipped mode. So, when I found that one of the sealed beam elements had gone, I decided to replace all headlights with the type that takes the Halogen H4 and H1 lamps. To get an idea of the change in light...

    Reconditioned Rear Caliper Supplier

Hi, wanting to get my P6 2200TC back on the road. One of the first jobs I think will be replacing a rather sorry looking rear caliper. Can anyone suggest a supplier who can recondition calipers or provide an exchange item please?

    JVY MOT 2014 - passed

:D MOT passed last week :D Initially failed due to rot on the OS D-post bottom (usual P6 "rot box") and advisory on poor welding at bottom of BC-post. However, after a few nights welding, the nice man at the garage was happy to give me a new MOT. As is now the custom, JVY got her birthday...

    Show us yer trim...!

Me, I quite a like a spot of digression. However, I digress; it was this that got me thinking: Is this what Monty Python were having a laugh at in the Life of Brian with Pontius Pilate and "To pwove our fwiendship, we will welease one of our wong-doers! Who shall I welease?"?

Hello and welcome Martin. Great intro - thanks. Only thing that's maybe missing is a fewer pics of your P6 please :-) . Sounds like your "drive 'em" approach is very much like mine.

Re: Ian Wilson Rest in Peace. Very sad to hear this. It seems to be such a short time since Ian told us he was unwell. My thoughts go to his family.

    1961 Triumph Herald - Mileage: 20

Do cars have feelings? Maybe that poor wee Herald is thinking, "I just want to be driven. Just one trip to the seaside on a warm sunny day before I rust away".

    starter motor only clicks SOLVED

Re: starter motor only clicks Going by all of the above, I would suspect Rich is right about poor starter earth connection. If you have a resistance measuring multimeter and some long test leads, you could check the resistance from starter motor case to battery -ve terminal. Anymore than about...

    Attractive Solihull Ancestor

Does look nice and the colour scheme suits it. I think Rover also made an equally nice 2 door coupe version. According to Wiki, the new 1933 Rover 10 was the first car that the Wilks developed after joining Rover. So, arguably, a true P6 ancestor in many ways?
