Alloy Wheels again - Found some lovely ones

Another look through our Antipodean friends' website turned up a second lowered V8 P6B with a painted set of the same alloys as on the lary gold pimpmobile. A little more reserved this one, a nice grey/brown colour. Anybody identify it? An Australia-only colour, or a one-off paintjob? Looks like...

Alloy Wheels again - Found some lovely ones

I've wasted countless wet winter hours searching the web for some alloys that would actually look good on my P6, but to no avail. Yesterday evening I stumbled across a photo on the Rover Car Club of Australia's website, shows a seriously low P6B V8 sporting a shiny copper gold metallic paintjob...

Hot fuel pump - Fuel starvation or not?

The previous owner of my V8 had replaced the standard mechanical fuel pump with a Facet 'Silver Top' electric pump, mounted in the front of the engine compartment behind the left headlights, and with the new fuel lines running beneath a bit of aluminium 'baffling' (?) to try and reduce...

    Front bumper - 2000 fits 3500?

As far as I know the 3500 front bumper is different. There is a 'cut-away' section out of the underside, to clear the bigger valance of the V8s, as you suspected. I think the overriders are common though.

Knackered Vinyl Roof with Leaky Sunroof - Help required restoring leaky vinyl roof

Hello fellow P6 Forum users I recently moved to Berlin, Germany, where I own the only 1973 3500 Auto in (mostly*) Arctic White. It has a black vinyl roof including a sliding steel sunroof, which has been re-vinyled by a previous owner. The vinyl is cracked at the rounded corners of the sunroof...

Power steering fluid spraying out of the reservoir - Lots of little air bubbles in the fluid

After having some difficulty starting my 3500Auto on a cold morning I opened the bonnet. At the next attempt to start the motor loads of red power steering fluid began to spray forcefully out of the red top on the reservoir! It carried on spewing out fluid like a fountain for three or four...

    '73 3500Auto WON'T START!!! - PLEASE help me get my 3500Auto started!

Thanks everybody who posted useful suggestions. I'm mobile again! A 24hr slow charge provided my battery with enough oomph to spark the old girl into life. Now I suppose I have to check if the alternator is working properly or whether there is a bad earth somewhere... Might my tilt/slide...

Turbochargers and Superchargers - Silly Questions

Hi. Can't find the link now, typically, but scour the web and there is or was a very detailed technical account of an SD1 in which the owner had installed a blower, without it poking through the bonnet. It was a remote mounted blower... I think it was a modern unit too... If I find the web...

    '73 3500Auto WON'T START!!! - PLEASE help me get my 3500Auto started!

I'm stuck without a mechanic in frozen cold Berlin, Germany! My battery shows 12volts at the terminals. It should too, it's only 14 months old! The starter motor solenoid just clicks rapidly and very loudly like machine gun fire. What do I check for next? What equipment or tools do I need? I can...
