Is the baseunit of V8MK1 RHD the same as V8MK1 LHD ?

I am looking for a baseunit for restoration. can still roll, but does not have to....

I can't find anything on the continent

Yes, but you won't find anything in the UK with all the salt on the roads. Your best bet would be a NADA in the US from a salt-free state.

It depends how much restoration you want to do. I have a possible candidate but in line with what Chris said, it has been welded in the past & will need some more. It is a rolling 2000 shell, doors & wings are poor. There is a 2000SC engine which is locked up at the moment & all mechanical parts are with the car. An interior can be supplied & l have title as they say in other parts of the world.

Actually it's probably not for you as it's not a V8 anyway but it has nudged me forward in putting the car out there as a possible project for the right person. So thanks for that & please ignore this post at will.

no I can not use, but thanks for the bad offer ;-)

I don't know how far you wish to search, but, I have recently seen a couple of NADAs for sale in the US. Check the Facebook group "Rover P6 Spares, Cars, Wanted." Best of luck.

Dont forget that auto and manual base units ARE different!
yes, the transmission tunnel is different. we know that
but I do not care. i converted my mk1 to r380. I get along well with both versions
