Is it one of the two on ebay at the moment?

You'll need to be a little more specific if you want non-joking answers..

Are you asking if a 1967 Rover 2000 TC in general terms is a good car to own ?

Because your initial enquiry was not phrased like that.

If you are asking about the breed in general then I am sure the four cylinder boys will be happy to help.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m asking

FWIW with any old car condition is important, these cars do rot, and you should bear in mind that to put serious rust issues right can cost a lot of money.
The P6 has covers over the outside of the sills, and these can hide problems underneath. Lift out the rear seat squabs and lift the underfelt and check the inner sill areas at the rear end by the wheel arch, they rot badly there. Check also under the front footwell carpets.

A good condition 2000 TC will be a fine car to own, you need to make sure that you do your research on the pitfalls and inspect the candidate well.

Okay, will make sure we give it a check in the hidden areas. Thank you so much! Finally a helpful answer

They are quite a complex car for the period but pretty much everything that wears out is available somewhere at a reasonable price. You will need a mechanic that knows the car type, there are a few on here i believe. The payoff is the excellent ride and handling.

You'll find people are more helpful if you actually phrase your question correctly in the first place, rather than post sarcastic comments afterwards.

sorry I’m not a pro on classic car forums.. I was just asking for a little help and hoping someone would point me in the right direction. I only received jokes & no helpful comments so sorry for being ‘sarcastic’

@Joanne07 , you posted on the same day that a particularly poorly example of these cars was offered over on an fb page for Rover P6 enthusiasts. That was the green one under all the vegetation that our (highly esteemed) member Harvey asked if you were looking at! For giggles, I dare say.
Don't be put off if we seem like a brusque bunch on here. Get yourself a good solid example of these cars we hold dear, and be assured there's lots of good knowledge on tap here to help you enjoy it for many miles. Happy hunting, hope you find a good 'un and don't get a rotten lemon!

You could do worse than read the P6 owners club guide: Buyer's Guide

It's not really a complex car by any recent standards but it also is not a Morris Minor or MG in terms of mechanicals and support. The V8 is straightforward for mechanicals, the 4 pot more specialized. Rot and grotty trim are the big expenses.
