Can anyone with a door pocket give me a few pointers on how to attach these to the door?
Ive scored one in the exact colour of my interior and want to attach it to the drivers door
Were these a NADA option?
Gerald

Standard fitment on NADA models, I don't have my door cards to hand at the moment to take photo but once on they are spung loaded to keep closed.
Clive.

You'll have to cut a slot in the door card for the big metal clip to push through, up and behind. I'm afraid I don't know what other smaller holes might be required for the wires that retain the 'bellows' bits at the sides. I sourced mine from a NADA somebody was breaking, but I didn't get the door card, just the somewhat dilapidated door pockets. I actually have the driver side door card off the door at the moment whilst I sort out the side glass, so I'll snap a photo or two for you when I'm next in the garage so you can see the slot I made.

That will be great - thanks

Thank you kind Sir.
As you can see , the pocket is in quite good nick with all the springs attached. At least I will be able to duplicate the spring steel wire as these ones are 40 odd years old and Ive nothing better to do than fiddle about and replace them.

I reckon they mount so that they close flush with the door handles. That's how I fitted them anyway. You could try asking a NADA owner on here to take a couple of handy photos. Perhaps Oldbloke, who is having his Napa Valley NADA painted at the moment? Or Andries from the Netherlands? I can't remember off the top of my head who else on here has a NADA. Who did you get the pockets off? Perhaps they can help? There must be a couple of smaller holes for those wires to tuck through, but I don't know where. I'll snap you a few pics later when it warms up a little...

That's a great find, wonder why it was not fitted to all models and years?
I have my front drivers door off for spraying.
I will have a look to see if there are standard holes for the fittings.

Excellent- thanks

I remembered to snap some photos of the door card yesterday, but I'm not going to bother uploading them to a hosting site and publishing them here. Why not!? Because the slot for the map pocket sprung retaining clip was pre-cut in the factory, whether the door card was destined for a NADA or not! You'll see it when you take your door card off. There are also some smaller holes adjacent, which must be for the spring wires for the 'bellows' flaps at the side. It seems to be self explanatory when you take a look! Best of luck. Pics when it is all in place please!

Ahh , so now all is clearer..
the door-pocket actually attaches to the door card and not the door itself...hmmm, good result for all :)
