spyd those cobra seats in the other pics, I've noticed that the shuts etc are black. Are you going to divulge your exterior colour scheme or keep us in limbo Raymondo.

hello guy...

seems you're my number one fan!....is there a pic of your car knocking about on the net!

yes all interior metal work will be black, its the darkness of the inside i prefer, makes exterior colour stand out, only my view of course,

I havent a clue about the colour, i know first off it will be in primer......i really don't like to conform...so it may well stay that way, ....it depends how i wake up and what mood i am in !!! :?...that thought was 2012!....

.......now I'm in 2015...pale blue wrap with satin black here n there!.....black rims!

What!!!! It's 2018 and I quite fancy a grey, the rims just cleaned and not polished.

Re: Project....Northern Soul

Yes there are various pics of my p6 on this forum and also the clubs websites it will be having a face lift in the not to distant future but not to the extremes of your custom project as I wish to keep my car closer to standard with a few tweeks. If you like I can post a few pics here on your thread  or you could search my threads/posts and browse at your lesuire. I would love to pic up a dying series one and go full out custom on it, as you are doing :D. One day it will happen I'm sure.... Keep up the good work :D

Re: Project....Northern Soul

Do put aside the standard parts that you remove. You'll find numbers of them are very special to very early cars - like the grey seats for instance. Other specuial items to pass on to others if you can are the actual dash top - I bet it's fibre board instead of plastic, the lamps under the end of the dash and the choke and petrol reserve knobs along with the knobs on the heater sliders. You may find that the normally Formica wood trims on doors and dash are actually real wood veneered onto sheet stainless steel as well. They are very rare.

I do like the way this is progressing though.

Morning Ray,
A few pics of mine for you freshly taken this morning she lives outside and is in daily use so a bit wet n messy

Messy boot with some bass

Her heart n soul

The drivers view with a little detailing around the clocks

Clear front lenses added earlyer this year

The face lift I have planned is a bonnet scoop and a home made front spoiler to add down force for fast driving

Ray, I am also a fan and watching with close interest, I await the choice of engine and expect a different to the normal selection if you carry on as you have so far.

Wow Guy, rear facing boot mounted rocket launchers, your not a double O agent by any chance are you?

Are you going to use them as air con?
Like those old school 'coolers' that feed cold air through a window to the cabin

hi jim

bang on first time !!!!!!

......as the car will be used on tropical days here in the UK ha....venturing along our melted tarmac roads....i thought it useful to have an intake of air, as my windows are firmly up!!!...I may pop a small hatch in it....but looks are more important than my sweating!...anyhow, the directional heater vents up front look more than able to keep me cool.

Re: Project....Northern Soul

Thanks for your comments Ray, we will have to get them together once your phat beast is finished :D

Re: Project....Northern Soul

Ray, how do you intend to stop the intakes turning into a jacuzzi if caught in a shower? Or are you fitting internal closure flaps. Will it have a container for cold water for the air to flow over like the 50's American ones?

john...you sure make me smile, and some days i need that...so dont stop!.....

yes ..inside the vent i made, there is a metal flap facing rearwards so rain cannot be drawn in, only air, as rain hits the flap etc, it simply falls away down the lower angle and away....thats the theory.

or....dont go out in rain....and its sorted!

a dummy speaker grill is utilised, for air entry.

Re: Project....Northern Soul

Like the dummy speaker grill idea almost genius...... Have you done this before :?: and will it not whistle or hiss as you go down the road :?:

.....Only trouble is I would be tempted to have a speaker behind it pumping away:LOL:
