    BW66 cooler options

The BW66 switch doesn't have connections as per Rimmer's site. - SD1 Inhibitor Switch - 2000/2300/2600 BW66 Auto - DRC2918 | Rimmer Bros So I would say you could either fit a BW65 switch or use a gear selector inside the car that has the appropriate switch/es. Colin

    BW66 cooler options

That sounds like the BW35 inhibitor switch in ref to the locknut. He's asking about the BW66 which is a later version of the BW65 fitted to later P6bs and more commonly found in the SD1 and possibly XJ6. Having looked on the Rimmer's site for the BW66 inhibitor switch it doesn't have the spade...

TVR Griffith 1992 (Rover V8) Timing

Yes, to clarify, the valves on No1 will be closed and No6 valves will be one closing and the other opening. Termed 'on the rock' which is easier to see as you go over TDC. Colin

TVR Griffith 1992 (Rover V8 engined)

When you remove the dist make a note of where the rotor arm was pointing before and after removal, then look in the hole and see the orientation of the pump shaft and remember it. Then do the drill bit. Afterwards turn the pump shaft back to its prior orientation, then the rotor arm to its...

    Servo valve spring?

It doesn't matter because pressurised brake fluid gets between the two seals and holds it in place and doesn't let it function properly.

Fitting Piper fast road cam and first impressions.

Tuning an engine makes it more efficient. It would be interesting if you notice any change in fuel consumption, either actual or perceived. Although I realise it's early days, and it may take a little while to resist the use of the power increase. Colin

Water leak at fuel filler grommet ?

Having just gone out and looked at mine, The wire is a round ring like a circlip which holds the grommit out against the base unit hole. After removing the filler neck, remove the wire circlip which is in the bottom internal convolution which will then allow you to pull out the grommit. It may...

Petition to lower VED for cars between 20 and 40 years old

It would be at least something if they tidied up their qualifying periods for MOT and road tax exemptions. Before anyone says anything, I know it still needs tax, but it's zero rated. MOT is 40 yr anniversary from first registration, however tax is from April the following year. I've just...

Water leak at fuel filler grommet ?

My mistake it may not be lower, but I've had the fixing stud leak. Just something to check. Have a couple of pics to show its location, there's usually sealant of some sort under the top nut. - Although the right side, this shows how far forward it is (angled brace on right out of shot)...

Water leak at fuel filler grommet ?

The other thing to check is that the forward fixing stud for the decker panel in not letting water past, because that is lower than the filler hole in the base unit.
